Terms of Service

1. Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian’s permission.
• Give accurate information and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• One account per person. Business staff accounts are created and removed by the business owner.

2. Points and rewards

• Points have no cash value. They are promotional loyalty rewards only. They cannot be sold, traded, withdrawn or exchanged for money.
• The network uses three kinds of points: Merchant Points, earned and redeemed at one business; Community Points, issued by the network; and Gift Points, given by other members or businesses. Each has its own rules, shown in the app.
• Merchant Points can be redeemed only at the business that issued them, unless the app clearly says otherwise.
• Each business sets its own earning rates and rewards, and may change or end them. Rewards are subject to availability.
• Gifts from a business that are not claimed within the time shown (usually 30 days) expire.
• If a business leaves the network, its rewards may no longer be available. We will try to give notice where we can.
• Points may be removed if they were awarded by mistake or obtained in breach of these terms.

3. Receipts

Only upload receipts for genuine purchases you made yourself. Receipts are checked automatically and may be reviewed by a person. Duplicate, altered or suspicious receipts may be rejected or held for review, and the final decision on points belongs to the network and the business.

4. Videos and testimonials

You keep ownership of videos and testimonials you submit. You confirm they are your honest opinion, that you have the right to share them, and that anyone shown in them agreed to appear. You give the business you made them for, and Rewards Velocity, a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display and share them within the service, and, if you selected advertising permission, to use them in advertising including TV screens and online. You can ask us to stop future use at any time; content already published or printed may take time to remove. Rewards for testimonials are given only after approval.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Submit fake, altered or someone else’s receipts, or create multiple accounts to earn extra points.
• Sell, buy or trade points or accounts.
• Upload content that is unlawful, misleading, offensive or that infringes others’ rights.
• Try to access other people’s accounts or business data, or disrupt or overload the service.
• Use automated tools to scrape or misuse the service.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules, and remove points gained through misuse.

6. Participating businesses

Businesses that join the network also agree to their membership terms. Memberships are billed monthly through Stripe at the price shown when you subscribe, renew automatically until cancelled, and can be managed or cancelled by the business owner in Settings → Billing. Cancelling stops future charges; fees already paid are not refunded unless required by law. Businesses are responsible for honoring the rewards and offers they publish, for the accuracy of their listings, and for the conduct of their staff on the platform.

Participating businesses are independent. Rewards Velocity is not responsible for their products, services, pricing or promises.

7. Changes to the service

We may add, change or remove features, and may update these terms. If we make important changes, we will notify you by email or in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.

8. Ending your use

You can stop using the service and ask us to close your account at any time by emailing [email protected]. Unused points end when an account is closed. We may suspend or close an account for breach of these terms or if required by law.

9. Disclaimers and limits on liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Rewards Velocity is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost points, rewards or profits. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $100. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Georgia, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
